Chicago Snow Storm PDF Print E-mail
Written by Jason Elwell
Tuesday, 01 February 2011 09:52

As you may have heard, the Chicago area (as well as many other parts of the country) is preparing for a large winter storm.  Our area is under a blizzard warning and could receive up to 24 inches of snow in the next 36 hours.   In the interest of keeping our employees safe and accessible to our clients, we have implemented our inclement weather plan.  Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions that may help clarify the situation:

Is LP Software still open for business? Yes, but our physical corporate office will be closed.  All LP Software employees are equipped to work offsite from their homes.  You will find that our staff is available to assist you as usual.

Will i still be able to reach Sales/Support at 708-361-4310? Yes.  Our state of the art VOIP telephone system will still be answered by a human that will connect you with the appropriate party.

How long will these arranges be in place? Currently these actions will remain in effect Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday.  We plan to resume business as usual on Thursday.

Are the servers that host the software for hosted clients unattended? No.  Hosted client server hardware is maintained in a separate datacenter.  This facility will continue to be manned 24/7 and is prepared with backup UPS units and diesel generators in the event of a utility power failure.
